CoilPad started as a solution to a personal frustration.

When I needed to switch back to Python for a new project, I realized my syntax skills were rusty. I didn't need a heavy IDE like VS Code just to test small ideas, and I found web-based playgrounds too slow and disconnected from my local files. I spent more time managing virtual environments than actually writing code.
